It’s great to be part of the Blueprint for Learning and Te Pou team as the project lead for Ara Poutama mental health and addiction nurse training and Skills Matter, supporting the mahi of Te Ao Māramatanga and other specialist training programmes for mental health and addiction clinicians and nurses.
As a registered nurse, I have worked in mental health and addiction for about 25 years, largely supporting the recovery of young people and their whānau who experience addiction. Other roles include professional supervision, course development, and tutor within the tertiary education sector, and more recently managing and facilitating a primary care nurse workforce development programme in mental health and addiction.
Tāmaki Makaurau is my home where I live with my teenage son and partner. We are all keen on music, either playing or going along to watch it live. I also love any opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, either on land or in the water.
