Meet Annette. A proud descendant of Ngāpuhi and Waikato-Tainui.
Annette is a registered social worker who has worked in both secondary services and primary healthcare in Aotearoa New Zealand and has also spent time working in the Queensland outback when living in Australia. She is passionate about empowering and uplifting those experiencing mental health and addiction challenges and has enjoyed supporting people in need within community settings throughout her working life.
Outside of her professional work, Annette finds immense joy and fulfilment as a wife to Gary, a loving mum to her adult daughters, and proud Glam Ma to four mokopuna. For her, whānau is not just a word but a testament to what she considers her biggest achievement in life.
As Annette continues her journey of service and advocacy, she is dedicated to making a difference to promote understanding and empathy. In working together, she hopes to foster a community that embraces and supports mental health for all.
