Ko te manu e kai ana i te miro nōnā te ngahere, Ko te manu e kai ana i te mātauranga nōnā te ao
The bird that consumes the miro berry owns the forest, The bird that consumes knowledge owns the world.
Kia ora,
Ko De’arna Sculley taku ingoa and I am excited to be a part of the wonderful team at Blueprint for Learning. I live in the Hutt Valley, in Wellington and I whakapapa to pākehā ancestry, Tainui (Waikato) and Ngāti Apa (Whanganui).
I was drawn to mental health nursing 25 years ago and I have been absolutely privileged to work alongside many tangata, hear their stories and offer support in their journey to recovery.
When I started working in education, I enjoyed how each person brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the learning space. For me, challenging stigma and the drive for equity is critical. I also have an absolute passion for improving health outcomes for Māori.
