Kia ora, my name is Julie Bickers, and I am honoured to be part of the Blueprint for Learning facilitator team.
When not facilitating Addiction 101 workshops, you will find me operating a part-time private counselling practice in Tauranga. I have a Bachelor in Addiction Studies and am a current member of DAPAANZ (Drug and Alcohol Practitioners Association of Aotearoa New Zealand).
My work history has involved supporting people facing all manner of challenges in their lives and it is through this work I have discovered a passion for both supporting those impacted in some way by addiction and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction in Aotearoa New Zealand.
I am a very proud mother of four adult tamariki and grandmother to five mokopuna.
