I am part of the facilitation team delivering the Addiction 101 workshops for Blueprint for Learning.
It is a privilege to be able to support the learning and skill development of those participating in workshops.
My background is in nursing. The passion I have for working to reduce stigma and encourage social consciousness around mental health and addiction has been the focus of my nursing masters and registration as a nurse practitioner.
My facilitation is informed by an understanding of the physical and mental health and cultural and social harms which affect whaiora and whānau living with addiction. Engaging with and adapting to the needs of participants is an integral part of this.
