I am a Niue-born, NZ-raised woman. I am a registered nurse with over 25 years in the mental health and addiction sector having worked in primary, secondary and community mental health services in clinical, non-clinical and leadership roles.
I have significant experience in the development and establishment of health, education and social services working with a wide range of ages and communities. Currently, I am the Managing Director/Clinical & Community Services Lead at AvaNiu Pasifika, a social enterprise organisation I established in Tauranga Moana in 2016 with the support of my family and community.
I am also a member of several community groups. I’m very committed to what I put my name and mind to, however, my “heart and soul” role is being Nana to my 14 grandchildren (my blessings).
