My name is Suzy Taylor and I am a professional therapist. I specialise in grief and loss with a particular focus on suicide and homicide bereavement. I am drawn towards helping people make sense of events that have happened in their lives so they can uncover their “in spite of” stories.
It is an honour to be part of the MH101® facilitation team because I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn more about mental health within a safe, structured and evidenced-based environment.
I live in Rotorua with my partner and have three daughters. My three mokopuna (grandchildren) live a couple of doors down from me in what I refer to as a Papakāinga (shared and supported living).
I am completing a Master’s Degree in Indigenous Studies, majoring in Policy Development at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi in Whakatāne.
