Blueprint for Learning was thrilled to take home the Rainbow Tick Non-Commercial Sector Award at the New Zealand Rainbow Excellence Awards on Friday 30 September 2022.
Blueprint also took home Highly Commended in the ASB Emerging Category and was a finalist for the Partners Life Supreme Award.
Awards Director and judging convenor, Martin King, says the NZ Rainbow Excellence Awards celebrate workplace leadership, innovation, best practice, and collaboration by organisations committed to rainbow diversity and inclusion.
“It was a thrill to be recognised as a finalist, let alone to win a category and be recognised with Highly Commended in another,” says Blueprint manager Angela Gruar.
“We are honoured and proud of this achievement. It’s very exciting to be recognised in this way so early on our Rainbow inclusion journey, and against some big, well-known organisations, like NZ Rugby and Booking.com.”
The ASB Emerging Award recognises organisations who are early in their diversity and inclusion journey, but have taken steps to clearly signal their commitment to rainbow inclusion in one or more facets of their organisation.
The Rainbow Tick Non-Commercial Sector Award recognises and celebrates organisations within the non-commercial sector who demonstrate leadership and innovation in the area of rainbow diversity and inclusion within and/or across their sector.
“While she was not able to attend the awards ceremony, a huge thank you must go to Patrice Dennis, Blueprint programme manager, for her leadership, passion, and commitment. She was integral to getting us on this journey, showing us how important this is to both our mahi and who we are as an organisation” added Angela.
